Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Gemach Hub, you agree to these terms. If you use Gemach Hub on behalf of a gemach, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and a valid mobile phone number, and keep them accurate. Both are required so that owners and borrowers can reach each other about items that are lent out. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure.
What Gemach Hub is
Gemach Hub is a tool for listing and tracking loans. We are not a party to any loan, fee, or donation between a gemach and a borrower. Owners set their own lending terms, fees, deposits, and replacement values, and are solely responsible for the items they lend and the accuracy of their listings.
Borrowing
- Submitting a request is not a guarantee of availability; the owner decides.
- Return borrowed items on time and in the condition received.
- You may be responsible to the owner for loss or damage, per that gemach's terms.
Acceptable use
- No unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing content.
- No harvesting of other users' contact details, and no unsolicited marketing to them.
- No attempts to bypass access controls or disrupt the service.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and descriptions you upload, and grant us a limited license to host and display them so the service can function. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload.
Notifications
Service-related email and in-app notifications are part of the service. Text messages are optional and transactional only — see the SMS Terms.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time; some records are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for disputes, loss, or damage arising between a gemach and a borrower.
Changes
We may update these terms and will post the revised version here with a new date.
